AY2027 Priority Enrolment: P3-P6 English

With the new PSLE English syllabus placing strong emphasis on Paper 2, Oral and Writing, we have designed our English programmes to ensure students receive structured preparation across all key components while continuing to develop a genuine appreciation for the language.

P3 – P4 English

We view Primary 3 and 4 as important formative years for children to read widely, broaden their vocabulary, and discover the beauty of impactful writing. Lessons are built around engaging themes and enriched with thought-provoking current affairs articles, interesting trivia, and meaningful discussions. Our aim is to get students excited to read, learn, and appreciate the English language.

Our P3 & P4 Full English Programme covers every examinable component except Listening Comprehension, providing students with a strong foundation before they enter the demands of upper primary.

Students will be introduced to:

• Paper 2 Strategies: Techniques to approach different question types systematically and confidently.
• Continuous Writing: Our famed Storyline Approach™, which helps students elevate their content, improve language use, and develop stronger narratives.
• Oral Communication: Our signature AROSE+PEEL structure, which helps students organise their ideas and express themselves with clarity and confidence.

P5 – P6 English

The revised PSLE English syllabus places almost equal emphasis on Paper 2, Oral and Composition. Our P5 & P6 English programmes have been designed with these changes firmly in mind.

Lessons continue to be centred around engaging themes, current affairs and interesting knowledge pieces that broaden students' perspectives while strengthening their language skills.

Our Full English Programme (FEP) covers every component of the English subject except Composition and Listening Comprehension. While Oral and Situational Writing are covered, the primary emphasis is on developing mastery of Paper 2.

In our FEP, students learn how to identify question types quickly, break questions down systematically, and apply easy-to-remember techniques across virtually every examinable component.

For students seeking dedicated preparation for Continuous Writing and Oral, we recommend our Master Writing & Oral Class (MWOC).

In MWOC, students learn:
